Sin Motivos Aparentes
Sin motivos aparentes brings together a group of young artists living in Mexico City who belong to a generation that is in process of consolidating artistic projects. There are differences and similarities between them regarding their interests in art, media, subject matter and their attitude towards art as a way of life.
Avoiding mathematical structures, the consecution between works does not have a pre-established linear shape but exists on several planes where the spectator is challenged to interpret and establish connections in what he finds, feels and thinks about the pieces. These are built from each artists interests, but are made keeping in mind that they will be placed in a specific place, Sector Reforma, forming a bubble between each other.
For no apparent reason alludes, in this case, to that which moves artists to create, to the nonsense due to which they are now gathered here in order to build something that, no doubt, for each one, is an essential necessity in their life and expectations, so that this fact per se means that all this in actuality is not altogether for no apparent reason.
